INTERIOR & EQUIPMENT
Fully refurbished by Brown & Gammons December 2017. Soft and supple tan leather seats piped in red with a ruffled design along with matching trim rails and door cards all stunning throughout. The body colour metal dash facia has been fully refurbished and unmarked. The original Jaeger instrument gauges all work perfectly and look stunning complimented by the Moto-Lita polished wood rim steering wheel. All electrical switches work as they were intended as does the Smiths heater. New contrasting deep pile black carpets have been fitted throughout. Simply beautiful.
 

EXTERIOR
A full body and chassis restoration was completed in 2016. The Orient Red (Code RD.3) paintwork has a deep gloss uniformed shine and excellent throughout which is testament to the quality of workmanship carried out 6 years ago. Door closures and panel fit to show standard. The bright work is perfect throughout and where possible original fittings have been restored and retained. The vinyl hood, full tonneau cover, aluminium frame side screens and hood frame were all replaced during the restoration and still look stunning today.
 

The underside of the car is equally as impressive, works included stripped and painted chassis in correct black semi-gloss, new suspension, fuel tank, propshaft, diff, new floors etc etc. the list goes on and on nothing missed.
 

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The 5 x 60 spoke chrome wire wheels and MG logo 2 ear chrome spinners are in stunning blemish free order.  All matching quality 165/80 R15 tyres have plenty of tread remaining.

The brake system has been fully overhauled including a front disc brake conversion including all new discs, callipers, pads, brake lines, etc. The rear drum brake setup fully restored needless to say the braking power is excellent.  Steering is precise and responsive, handling superb.
 

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The original 1600cc A-Series engine has been replaced with a brand new Ivor Searle MGB 2.0Ltr Stage 2 unleaded unit teamed up to a Mazda 5-speed gearbox. Along with K&N air filters, performance distributor, new twin HS4 SU carburettors, alloy radiator, extractor sports exhaust manifold and full stainless-steel exhaust...

Exhilarating Drive... She is brisk on the roads with lively performance, responds superbly, sounds amazing, pulls strong in every gear, starts easily hot or cold, perfect oil pressure and idles faultlessly, the gearbox and clutch in operation are light and precise. A mere 700 miles has been covered since completion... As you can imagine such great fun to drive.
 

Summary
This is a very unique MGA MK1 Roadster. Imported from North America in 2011 then over a two year period 2016 to 2018 underwent an full comprehensive restoration leaving no bolt unturned and subsequently converted to RHD.  The history file contains the Heritage Certificate stating this MGA was despatched from the Abingdon Factory on 16th June 1956 in Orient Red with a Black roof and interior, wire wheels, adjustable steering column and heater.

Restoration costs were circa £35/40k, we have 5 invoices alone from Brown & Gammons totalling £23,816 for the refurbished interior, replacement engine, and associated mechanical work.
 

This MGA has clearly been cherished with thousands of pounds being lavished on her producing this very special and unique car we have today.
 

This is an excellent opportunity to own a stunning one off MGA Roadster. Fully restored from the ground up during 2016/18 and only covered a mere 700 miles since.  Needless to say this MGA Roadster is still in exceptional order today and just needs to be seen.

The MGA a British sports car which was made in Abingdon from May 1955 to July 1962. The original car was a Roadster with a 1500cc engine. In September 1956, a Coupé version was produced with the same engine. In April 1958, the first MGA with a 1600 twin cam engine was produced, and in May 1959 the MGA got a 1600 push rod engine. A total of 101,081 MGA’s were made, with over 90% being exported from the UK. This included cars assembled from kits of parts in Australia, South Africa, Canada, Ireland, Holland, Mexico, and even Cuba. Of the total production, 52478 were 1500 Roadsters
