1972 MGB GT V8

Now includes a New set of alloy wheels and tyres.
This MGB GT is a factory-original right-hand-drive (RHD) model intended for the domestic market, manufactured during the 1st to 7th August 1972.
It was subsequently dispatched to the MG dealership, Stewart & Ardern Limited, Barnes on the 1st September 1972.
The car was finished in Black exterior paint, complemented by Autumn Leaf interior trim, just as it is today.
It came equipped with factory-fitted Overdrive, Rostyle Wheels, Tinted Glass Windscreen, Headrests, Servo Assisted Brakes, Heated Rear Window and Radial PLY Tyres.
This MGB GT still proudly displays its original factory-issued registration plate, bearing the distinctive identifier OUW 420L.
Included within the car's history file is a British Motor Museum Heritage Certificate, affirming the aforementioned details. This certificate serves as a tangible validation of the vehicle's provenance.
Originally registered in September 1972 and boasting a mileage of 62,935 miles, this delightful V8 MGB GT has recently undergone a full respray in its original black hue. Equipped with a Weber carburetor and firing up promptly, this MG is rumored to have connections to Costello and was formerly in the possession of Mike Randal ('Mike the Pipe'), a renowned manufacturer of high-quality exhausts who supplied the majority of Formula 1 teams during the '70s.
Presenting itself in a pleasingly 'usable' state, the front seats have been reupholstered in the original Autumn Leafvinyl, while the rear seats currently retain their original fabric and vinyl, showcasing the car's care after its visit to the body shop some 8 months ago. Though never intended to be a showpiece, the paint job is commendable.
Beneath the hood lies the dependable Rover 3.5-Litre V8 with a sprinkling of select upgrades, channeling its power to the rear wheels through a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The dashboard hosts additional gauges for added functionality.
Accompanied by a comprehensive collection of invoices and paperwork, a handwritten note provides a fascinating glimpse into the car's history with detailed records of servicing, new components, and previous owners dating back to the '70s, alongside various old MOT certificates and '80s tax discs.
Starting effortlessly and running smoothly, this presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a V8 MGB for the summer ahead.
